Family Affair was an American comedy series that aired on CBS from 1966 to 1971 and Mrs. Beasley doll was the favorite doll of Buffy (played by Anissa Jones). The sitcom explored the trials of well-to-do engineer and bachelor Bill Davis as he attempted to raise his brother's orphaned children in his luxury New York City apartment. Davis' traditional English gentleman's valet, Mr. Giles French, also had adjustments to make as he became saddled with the responsibility of caring for 15-year-old Cissy and the 6-year-old twins, Jody and Buffy.

Miss Beasley doll was Buffy's security blanket and confidant who listened to all her problems. In 1967, Mattel released a talking doll of 21" in a big, pink display box. On the original box was a color photo showing Buffy smiling with a Mrs Beasley doll in her arms.

Mrs. Beasley wore a blue dress/pants with white polka-dots, yellow shoes, and a pair of black square-rimmed glasses.

In addition, Mattel produced a 14-inch non-talking rag doll, complete with removable, fully-washable clothes; and a 10-inch talking Buffy with a 4-inch Mrs. Beasley (Maureen McCormick of THE BRADY BUNCH fame loaned her voice to the doll's voice box); and 6-inch non-talking, bendable Buffy with a 3-inch Mrs. Beasley. Can anyone tell me when in 1967 the Mrs Beasley doll came out?
I couldn't find a specific date unfortunately... Maybe another visitor could shed some light on this.

I have a 3' felt 1967 Mrs. Beasley doll. I was wondering if it's of any value?
You could also try and search for a Mrs Beasley cloth doll to see if you can find yours.

I have Buffy and mrs. Beasley in the box, never played with or taken out of box. What is this worth. Bought in the 1960s. It is not sealed, just stored all these years!

SO glad you're here! I feel like I'm having a family reunion. At 12 I had her; inexplicably she was taken from me. They hid her in a top closet. No one cared. Now I will get the Anniversary edition. I'm 60 and thank you for the healing!
Thank you for sharing, Iris! If you're still looking for the Anniversary Edition, I saw one on eBay: Beasley Anniversary
