Igracek toys (Czech Republic) are small plastic figures (like Playmobil), which present different professions. The toy figures were created in 1976 by Jiri Kalina and Marie Krejchova it has become known for its simple design -the individual figures were built of the same parts and were differentiated by the colour and its external equipment. The characters exist in male and female form and have moving arms, legs and head and the hands are able to hold different kinds of tools and working equipment associated with the profession.
The first Igracek figure was a bricklayer which was produced in 1977. This figure was soon followed by other professions for example cooks, builders, seamen, road makers or mother with children. After startup of production, four new models were on the market every year and the entire collection had approximately 50 different versions. Igracek was reintroduced into the toy market in 2010, by a Czech producer of toys: EFKO - karton, s.r.o. from Nove Veseli. Igracek was slightly innovated, the figures have rotating wrists now. New is also the portable folding suitcase, which generates an adequate environment to play with the characters.
