Daiya toys

Founded in the 1950's, Tokyo, Japan, Daiya was an important toy maker and appears to have been most active from the late 1950's through the early 1970's, after which they disappeared from view.

Today, Daiya's current disposition is unknown. It is presumed to have succumbed to marketplace pressures in the early 1970's.

Daiya made mechanical (friction) and battery operated toys like robots, space toys, cars, motorcycles, horses, military vehicles, helicopters, airplanes, and figures like clowns.

Hi bought a Daiya yellow school bus in unused condition with the battery wire red control pack. No box but looks like new you would think it's never been used. Are they worth keeping? I paid $220.00 u.s. taxes and delivered for it and an old 1959 Japanese tin Buick convertible fire chief red car with chrome round siren attached on top middle of convertible windshield
In good condition. Was that too much to pay or a good buy?

you can buy my collection
ik koop zelf geen verzamelingen, maar ik denk dat eBay de beste plek is (of anders marktplaats?)

Picked up some Daiya military toys--tank, jeep, truck and boat-all in mint condition. We are having trouble finding a place to value them. Any thoughts?
Hi Linda, you can always try eBay (if you have an account) and search through the 'completed listings' (see link in text). Other than that, maybe some auctioneers?

hi!im from argentina, and I wondered if you could tell me the price of an old toy.. its an "Flying Police", from Daiya.i founded it in an old store. its new, it works, and it is in his original box (in excellent conditions). Can you tell me the price?
Very difficult to say. Depends where and how you're going to sell it and what the demand is. If it's original and in very good condition, it might fetch between 200 and 400 USD (roughly...) Or you could spend a few bucks and hire a company to estimate the value (look under 'links'). Good luck!

Hi, I have a Daiya tin toy made in Japan called Singing Bird in a Golden Cage. Do you know anything about it and how much it is worth?
The value depends on age and state. I can't find any info on your Daiya toy, so I hope another visitor can tell more about your bird.
