Hi. I have a Combex poodle night light that I used as a child in the 1950's/60's and now I'm wondering if it's possible to use it for my grandchild. I would probably have the electric replaced but can you tell me if the rubber becomes toxic or is flammable when the light bulb is burning inside it? Thanks Di
Should be ok if you replace the bulb with a low wattage bulb (low watt = low temperature), for example an LED lamp.

I have a cute pair of little squeak toy Indians ( Indian and Squaw ?) They have the number 1500 and also Regd Des 90764. I was wondering what year they were made and if they have names or are based on a specific character?
Not sure... Did you try Google Images: Combex Indian or maybe they're not made by Combex?

I have a combex doll with number 1448 on it. It seems to be made of hard plastic body legs and arms are a solid piece. The only moveable piece is the head. It stands around 8 inches tall
Can't find any info on the 1448 I'm afraid...

HelloI have a small collection of combex animals from around the 1950s. A couple of them have holes that appear to have been drilled into the body. The pig has two holes on the top and one near the taiI and a lamb has two holes on the head I am wondering if you could tell me the reason for this. thank you
Isn't it because they are squeaking toys so the air can get in and out?

I have a Combex squeaky elephant about 5-6inches tall - squeaker not working but has got large flat ears and is yellow in colour - wearing a red bow in it's head. Wondered on age - 1960s maybe and value
Can't find exact dates, but indeed beginning of the 1960s maybe end 1950s. Value is around 10 to 20 GBP.

Does anyone know if the code NSRCL 1960 in relief on the base of a Combes Noddy figure means that it dates from 1960?
A lot of Combex figures on eBay have the same 1960 code so it could also be the 1960s, not specific 1960. Not 100% sure though...
