The company was formed in the mid 1960s and the name stems from the partnership of one Marvin Azrak and Ezra Hamway. By 1974 they had purchased the name of the Remco Toy Corporation and hired away Mego VP of sales Neal Saul to make the company a licensing toy giant.
Azrak Hamway produced a wide range of toys, generally of good quality and accuracy. Many toyswere available in both the US and UK, and some in the rest of Europe. All toys were made in Hong Kong.
