For more than 50 years, Rivarossi has been producing quality train models and has always been considered one of the most exotic producers of model trains in the railway market. With over half a century tradition of model train manufacturing, Rivarossi trains are now technically improved with fine detailing, quality can motors with flywheels, LED lighting, DCC interfaces and much more.
From 1957 Rivarossi HO models were licensed and sold by Lionel as Lionel HO. The cooperation with Lionel broke down over financial issues after only a year. From 1958 Rivarossi products were sold through Athearn. After Athearn, just about all Rivarossi products, and its sister company Pocher, were distributed through AHM (Associated Hobby Manufactures).
Models are now all factory-fitted with all detail parts and packaged in protective shells and outer boxes. These models are 1:87 scale and made using the best materials. Rivarossi has some of the finest detailing and running performance available.

I'm looking for boiler covers for several repairable rivarossi steam locomotives. no one seems to carry these parts.

Friends:Do you know where I can obtain, parts for a Rivarossi steam locomotive? I had to remove the handrails for a project I was doing, and I lost some of the brackets that support the handrails. I'm not currently at home, but I can probably furnish a part number from the drawing which came from the locomotive (it's a Mikado steam loco). Of course, they don't have to be Rivarossi parts; if you know of another supplier who makes these brackets, I'd be happy to learn of them. Thanks!
reply: You can always try and search for Rivarossi parts on this website or contact for example Walthers Model Railroading

I have just found my old (1950/51) Rivarossi 00 gauge Baltimore-Ohio 0-4-0 goods train still in original box with 3 open trucks, track, and original controller. Is this worth anything?
