Effanbee's most famous and iconic doll was 'Patsy', designed by Bernard Lipfert in 1927. Patsy was a three-year-old girl with a trendy bob hair cut. Later Effanbee introduced friends for Patsy and a boyfriend named 'Skippy'.
Effanbee produced a series of clothes, specifically designed for Patsy, making her one of the first dolls to come with her own wardrobe.
Noma Electric purchased the company in 1946. Effanbee was bought and sold many times over the next 50 years.
